note 01 – gathering light
Light is something we often notice too late, once a space is already built.
But small decisions early on can completely change how a room feels throughout the day and across seasons.

By adjusting openings and roof form, daylight levels increase and the space becomes more comfortable to use throughout the day.

In winter, lower sun angles allow light deeper into the room, warming the space.
In summer, the higher sun is controlled by the roof overhang, reducing heat and glare.
Early decisions like these don’t just affect performance, they shape how a space feels to live in.
