note 02 – shaping movement

Movement through a home is something we don’t always consider directly, but it shapes how a space is experienced day to day.

How you arrive, turn, pause, and pass through spaces can feel either intuitive or unresolved.

Small shifts in alignment and openings can guide movement naturally.

A view might draw you forward

A turn might create a moment of pause before entering a more open space

A change in ceiling height might slow you down

Rather than considering each room by itself, it can be helpful to think in sequences – how one space leads to the next, and how that journey unfolds.

When movement is considered early, spaces tend to feel calmer and easier to navigate.

Not because they are simpler, but because they make sense.
